Its been a minute!

So its been awhile since I have posted anything on here! Well I don't know where to begin! We have been busy I am sure since my last post.
Chris is still working at the Burley Jr. High and enjoys working with his co~workers. He loves going to monster truck shows and we were able to go last August to the one in Salt Lake City. It was so much fun! We had a blast that weekend. Chris loves watching his sports and loves his BSU football team! {But who doesn't, right???}
I am busy with work and I have found that I love crocheting and I have found that I can create things without patterns! It is very exciting for me! I enjoy being creative this way! I work at 5 buck pizza and enjoy working there! Its a pretty AWESOME group that works there if I do say so myself :).
The kids are growing like weeds! I don't know where all the time goes :(.  Burke is in the middle of his 6th grade year and his goal this semester is to get straight A's. He is a smarty (he gets that from his mother). He enjoys playing hacky sack and I was able to crochet him a hacky sack. He loved it! He enjoys playing games on the PS3 and I have to kick him off it often. All in All Burke is an awesome kid and we wouldn't be the same without him!
Annie is in the middle of her 4th grade year and she is such a good girl. She loves deeply and easily cares for others. She has gotten straight A's this year except for one B (which I had to console her about for days). She has high standards and I am so proud of her for that! She is very creative and is always coloring and creating new pictures and signs for the house.
Alexis is almost 4 and it makes me sad that she is growing so stinking fast!!!! She is a busy little girl with enough sass to last a year! She is my sassy one and I love her for it. You never know what she is going to say and she usually tells you how it is. She loves her aunts and lets them know it! (Even though they all go by the same name TAMMY!) It is kind of funny though. She is our little sunbeam!

Upward Basketball

Burke had the opportunity to be a part of upward basketball this year! He had a great time and has decided he loves playing basketball. I am so proud of him! He played every game and played hard. He enjoyed his team and his coaches. We really enjoyed going to his games and seeing him play. We loved it when grandparents could come watch and we were delighted when Grandpa Aldridge showed up this past Saturday to see his last game! It was a great surprise and it made Burke so happy! We look forward to next years basketball but he wants to do Jr. Jazz. Seeing my kids play sports is a lot of fun! We now will be heading into Annie’s Baseball games. She had her first game last Monday and her team won. She was so excited. It will be fun watching her grow and become better at this sport!

There's a snake in my nose! ~ Miss. Alexis

So Ijust had to put this out there.... My sweet little three year old girl was sitting on the couch next to me watching a movie when she looks at me and says "Mom, there's a snake in my nose!" I just started laughing. I asked her if she was picking her nose and she gave me her little "uh-huh". Don't worry everyone I did tell her not to pick her nose anymore, but the things little kids say or think! It was just one of those little things that I wanted to right down because far too often when you don't you forget. I really want to do better at this! I love my kids and all the silly things they do and say. My life would not be complete without them!

We are a happy Family!

I am so grateful for my wonderful children! They each add so much to our family. Burke is my straight arrow. Sometimes its hard to discipline him because he is so hard on himself. Sometimes the punishment he gives himself is enough. I can just give him a look and he knows that he did something wrong. He loves sports and retains all kinds of information about sports. Whats amazing to me is he knows facts from before he was even born. This he has in common with his father. They can t and alk sports ALL day long! Right now he is in upward basketball and he loves it. He works hard at it and he loves going to work with his dad to practice. I hope that he can go on to be on his school teams and that he continues to love it!

Annie is my little drama girl. He says things just the way they are as she see's them. She doesn't hold back. She is a great big sister! She loves her baby sister. She is very creative. She loves horses and animals. She has a very tender heart. She may be able to say what she thinks and be very "red" about it, but she has a very soft side to her as well. She loves writing notes and letters. I love getting her little notes after she getes in trouble that says "I'm sorry mom. I love you." It is wonderful to have her in our family.

Alexis is my little jewel. She can get a grown man to play barbies with her! I have seen more than one of her uncles play with her. She just puts it in their hands and starts playing. She loves to sing! I love hearing her sing "We are a happy Family" it is so priceless! She probably got that in nursery at church. She loves going to nursery. She is my only child that has never cried when I drop her off. She loves going and I am so grateful for her nursery leaders. She has such a comforting spirit about her. I think she was sent here to our family to help mend my broken heart.

You might wonder why I had a broken heart. About 10 months before Alexis joined our family we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Graycee. She was silently born. I was about 4 months along when we found out our little bundle of joy was a very sick baby. She had her organs on the outside of her little body. We did some testing and we found that besides those problems she was ok. We also found out that it was not genetic. About two months later I got really sick, and I started realizing my little one was not moving as much. I remember being so scared. I knew something was wrong but I kept hoping that I was wong. But 3 short days later I no longer felt movement. My doctor told me to come in. When we got there they could not find the heartbeat. I knew she was gone and my heart broke. I don't know how to describe the feelings. During this pregnancy I was blessed to be able to bond with Graycee. I don't know quite how to explain it but I know her just as well as my three other children. She is greatly missed. Somedays are harder than others. I have mostly good days now but every once in a while something will happen and all those feelings rush back to me. This time of year is hard for me because it was this time of year we found out there were problems. She returned to Heavenly Father on June 9, 2008. I was blessed with 6 months with her. Heavenly Father blessed me with understanding at the time.  I am so grateful for that. Graycee is a very special part of our family. She has helped me grow with understanding of gospel principles.

I am so grateful for my wonderful family! I think I am one of the lucky ones! I have a wonderful husband. I have 4 great kids that I couldn't imagine my life without. They inspire me to be a better me everyday! I love my life because of my family. Is my life perfect? Well, no but my family is the sweetness in my life.

Count your many Blessings....

Today is a day I need to count my blessings, because if I don't I might just pull out my hair.

1. I have a wonderful family! I love them all through thick and thin. Even when they push me to my breaking point. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

2. I have great siblings that I love! I wish I could see them more. I am hoping to travel this summer a bit so I can see them.

3. I have wonderful parents that love me. I wish that I could see them more too. I miss them more than I can say.

4. I have great in~laws. That love me for me and I appreciate that. We don't always see eye to eye, but that's okay they don't treat me differently because of it.

5. I love my religion. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am proud to be. I am so thankful for what the gospel teaches. I am especially grateful for eternal families. I would be completely miserable if I didn't have that knowledge.

6. My dog is a great blessing. She loves me and is my constant companion in all that I do. She is never far away from me at home.

7. I am grateful for all the trials that I have faced in my life. They have helped me form into the person I am today.

8. Saving the best for last, I am so grateful for my husband. I am grateful for the wonderful husband and father that he is. I am grateful for his patience, because it helps me take a step back.

Okay this has helped me get past the frustration that I was feeling. Count your many blessings name them one by one. Count your many blessings see what the Lord has done... I love that song. Don't let life overtake you. Remember to count your blessings.

Welcome to my life~

HI! My name is Jessica and this is my life! I have been married to Chris since 1999 and am still loving married life! We have four beautiful children! Burke is 11, Annie is 9, Alexis is 3. Graycee is our little one we lost four years ago. She was born silently when I was 24 weeks pregnant. During those 24 weeks I felt her spirit and got to know her only as a mother can during pregnancy. We look forward to seeing her again and being able to show her the love our family has for her. I think of her often.

Besides my children and husband I try my best to keep busy! I have many interests that I hope to be able to share here on this blog! I love to read, crochet, listen to music, scrapbook, try new crafts. I hope to share my projects here. It will be fun to share all of them with you!

I hope you enjoy getting to know me and my family a little better. I hope to get feedback so please leave comments!
